December part 1.

Well the time is finally here again. Mid November until a few days past New Years is my absolute favorite time of year. This year has been one of the best ever. From Becca’s birthday, Thanksgiving, and up to my birthday (with delicious Jessie cake) it has been non stop good times. Also over this time I got to meet Becca’s family (more coming up in December part 2), attend my first theatrical experience (Nutcracker), fun cooking times, and lots of time with family and friends.

I also want to wish Dustin the best of luck out in California, and I look forward to seeing Didier, Rach and Jes in December part 2. Thanks to everyone who is making this such a wonderful time. I hope to see more of my family in the next coming weeks, don’t be a stranger!

The Evergreen Trail.

This past weekend Becca, Sam and I went to back to Oak Openings to take some pictures of the Evergreen Trail. I have to say that this trail contains one of my new favorite places in Ohio by far. The place I am referring to is a small area of the trail that contains some stripped evergreen trees, which we now dub the “magical forest.” Anywho, I thought I would share some of the photos I took along the trail. I hope when Didier and Rachel come home for Christmas that we can all make another trip there with snow on the ground.

Such a beautiful place. There were some really interesting fungi on the trail. We went running through here a few days back.Such a great place for a bench.I kept feeling like a lion was going to come after us.There is a sand horse path near the end of the trail. There was a ton of moss on this part of the trail. We had a really great time shooting outside.

Stuffed animal goodness!

This past weekend was a time of creativity and discovery. Finding that I am not too horrible at sewing, thanks to the ever so wonderful Becca, we decided to make some fun stuffed animals. I wanted to make my upcoming nephew Harry something to greet him into the world. We then found some fun ideas on the Shawnimals website for our initial designs and got sewing! Below are the results of our efforts. The first pic is the pair we made for the little Geib kids. The left one was made by me, thanks to Becca’s help, and belongs to Harry. The one on the right was made by Becca and belongs to Marilla, who lovingly named it Afghan Puck. The second picture shows a kidney bean shaped one I made (we call him Bean), Becca’s little four-eyed ghosty, and her owls she made previously. We can’t wait to make more!

We later gave these guys to Tyson's kids. These guys are staying with us.
